The historical combination of Driessen and Sell GmbH, what is today the Galley Division of Safran Cabin, invented the modern galley as we know it today. Founded in 1938, Driessen created some of the very first catering equipment for KLM, which operated the Douglas DC-6 and Lockheed Constellation in the years immediately following WWII. Sell GmbH, founded in 1950, was also a pioneer in early galley development and developed its first galley in 1954.
The 80 year march of innovation continues as we offer a full range of single aisle and widebody galleys, including the world's best selling single aisle galleys and highly customized wide body galleys for leading airlines around the world.
Single Aisle Galleys
As the world leader in single aisle galleys, Safran Cabin produces more single aisle and regional jet galleys than any other supplier. Safran Cabin outfits 100% of Bombardier CRJ and Q Series, Airbus A220 and A320, Embraer E-Jet, and over 70% of the Boeing B737 fleet with the popular modular MaxFlex line of galleys. Based on a principle of pre-certification with mix-and-match completion kits, we are able to offer a nearly infinite series of combinations to suit your needs with dramatically reduced cost and lead time, and guaranteed certification.
We are also the pioneer of the space saving aft complex, offering the SpaceFlex v2 with our partner Airbus, to enable up to 2 additional rows of seats to enhance your revenue, while still offering capacity for 8 half-size trolleys and two ovens. With over 550 shipsets delivered and counting, the product has been improved based on hundreds of thousands of hours of in-flight feedback.
